“Engineering, Earthquakes, and More!” Civil Engineering Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring (SHM)

1How can you tell if a structure has been damaged by strong winds, heavy loads, an unexpected storm, or even an earthquake? Sometimes you can see the damage visually, but more often than not, the damage goes far beyond what the eye can see. A growing field in Civil Engineering is Structural Health Monitoring; the study of analyzing data (from sensors) in order to detect damage in a structure.

RoboHacking Internship Program, Summer 2015

MappieBotFrom July 6th to July 31st six high school students participated in the Robo-Hacking Internship at Tufts CEEO. The goal of the internship was to expose students to a variety of technologies, encouraging exploration through hands on projects with a robotics focus.
